Traditional Networks vs. Cloud Networks

Traditional networks just won’t cut it in today’s business environment.  This is why companies that want to stay competitive have switched over to private cloud architecture.  By moving to a private cloud model, companies are reducing the costs of conventional servers and the completely unnecessary complexity that surrounds them.

Private clouds have virtually eliminated the need for the static mentality of traditional servers and deployment methods.  Private clouds now provide dynamic management of resources that can be applied anywhere; run anywhere and data from those applications and resources can also be stored anywhere.  The one area that businesses will need consultants is in implementing a robust private cloud. A versatile private cloud requires software and hardware solutions, reliable data centers and the vendors that can provide them. 

When selecting solutions for building a stable cloud infrastructure, three main things should be considered.  Performance is essential; make certain that the hardware is capable of using max bandwidth.  Plan to keep the cloud going for years into the future.  While keeping old servers and upgrading their capabilities may be cost effective, make certain that it is the best for your cloud’s longevity.  The third thing to consider is flexibility.  Make certain that any terminal, laptop or server can connect to anywhere along the network.  This should also include the ability to connect across multiple networks. 

Moving a business network over private cloud architecture will result in a massive improvement to the efficiency of the network as well as the end user interaction with that network.  Cloud architecture is designed to reduce costs and make businesses more flexible.  The best in cloud architecture will allow companies to connect to any number of servers and never experience a moment of downtime.  In today’s competitive markets, the second that a company loses by relying on traditional static servers could mean the loss of a client and a big hit to profits and reputation.
